About Independent Study classes
How do Independent Study courses work? Read answer

Once on Blackboard, you will have access to all of your coursework including syllabus, objectives, instructor contact information, all exams, and assignments. Each course is broken down into modules.
Upon completion of each module there is generally a take home exam, paper, or project to complete. You will submit this electronically to your instructor through the digital drop-box. Your instructor will grade the work within two weeks and return feedback to you via your digital drop-box.
