What's Happening at Tech?
The last few years at Indiana Tech have seen an increased focus on increasing the number and variety of campus events. To find out what's currently scheduled, visit our events calendar. Meanwhile, here's a general idea of the type of events and activities you'll find at Indiana Tech.
University Forums are a series of guest speakers brought in to provide different perspectives on some of things you may be learning about in classes. The University Forums generally occur once per semester, but sometimes we'll arrange for two if we have the opportunity to bring in someone really compelling.
The L3 Forums provide students with an opportunity to share their views on contemporary topics. These events often include guest speakers, but the guests are primarily expected to start a discussion rather than give a speech or presentation. Why are they called L3 Forums? Because they are often held outdoors in our amphitheater called the Labor of Love for Learning.
Wicked Wednesdays and Flippin’ Fab Fridays
While the University Forums and L3 Forums are intended to expand your mind, Wicked Wednesdays were born of a need to just relax in the middle of the week. Some of the activities do serve useful purposes, such as the professional dress fashion show, but others are useful for relieving stress. Most Wicked Wednesday activities occur in the dining hall during lunch or dinner, but sometimes they include off-campus trips or more elaborate set ups.
And if all of that isn’t enough, we even have a campus theater where you can kick back and watch independent films. The best part, it’s only $2.00 with your student ID.
