The Student Support Services peer-tutoring program was developed to provide Indiana Tech students with tutoring for freshman and sophomore level courses, particularly courses in mathematics, engineering, science, and accounting. Tutoring is free to eligible Indiana Tech students.
All tutoring is done by Indiana Tech students who have successfully completed the courses for which they provide tutoring with an A or B. Tutors must have a minimum 2.5 overall GPA as well as a minimum 2.50 major GPA.
The Tutoring Center opens the second full week of each semester. The hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. It is located in Cunningham Business Center in Room 160. Once you have met your professors and attended all your classes, you might decide that you need additional help with a class or two. If so, you can meet with our staff to be matched with a peer tutor or contact us at (260) 422-5561, ext. 2337.
Tutors are always needed. If you would like to make extra money, have a flexible schedule, and meet the criteria to be a tutor, contact the Tutoring Center coordinator, at (260) 422-5561, ext. 2396.
