Robert Freewalt
Associate Professor, Accounting

Robert Freewalt

Thank you for taking the time to view my web site. As an associate professor in Ft. Wayne, I teach finance, accounting, marketing, marketing and economics at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Prior to joining Indiana Tech, I was an entrepreneur in the technology sector. I have also held a variety of marketing and accounting related positions with major corporations throughout the United States. I now tap this experience along with my background as a licensed CPA to assist small business owners with developing business plans, obtaining financing, and providing chief financial officer support and services. I use these experiences as real life examples in my classes.

I am an avid golfer and enjoy traveling, but am especially fond of cooking. I attended a cooking school in Taiwan where I developed skills with a wok and other Chinese cooking methods. I managed to demonstrate these skills as an instructor at O'Malia's Cooking School in downtown Indianapolis.

As your professor, I will do my best to present course material in a manner that can be translated to your business career. I will combine textbook information with actual business experiences in order to bring the subject to life. When you take my classes, expect to be challenged. In turn, I also expect you to challenge me. In this way we can work together to make your educational experience at Indiana Tech both memorable and beneficial. I look forward to seeing you in one of my classes. And if you need any cooking tips, I will be happy to provide those as well.
