Dr. Steven Hundersmarck
Dr. Steven Hundersmarck's professional interests include adult learning, workplace training, criminal behavior, criminal profiling and organizational practice. Steve has conducted and published research related to police work, organizational practice and learning in the workplace. Steve’s research methodology of choice is qualitative research. He has reviewed and served as an editor for a number journals and books related to qualitative research. He has also written and conducted extensive research using qualitative meta-synthesis.
Prior to entering the academia Steve was in law enforcement. He was a patrolman in Houston, Texas for six years. For fourteen years he was a police officer, detective, sergeant and Chief of Police in Michigan. Steve was also a hostage/crisis negotiator and team leader for 13 years.
Currently, Steve is the Director of Criminal Sciences at Indiana Tech.
