Uytengsu documentary receives prestigous award
f you haven’t yet seen the PBS documentary detailing the renovation of Indiana Tech’s Wilfred Uytengsu, Sr. Center, maybe this news will encourage you to do so. The documentary recently won the prestigious Telly Award, which honors the best video and film productions aired on local, regional, and cable television.
The Wilfred Uytengsu, Sr. Center was converted from an 1850's building in need of restoration to an 1850's building with 21st century technology in 2010.
More than 13,000 entries from all 50 states and five continents were submitted for the 31st Annual Telly Awards, so you know "Green Renovation: New Life for a 19th Century Building" is outstanding!
The program is a fascinating look at the history of Indiana Tech and Fort Wayne and the exciting way the 1857 administration building was converted to a beautiful "living laboratory" for 21st century education.
