Building projects progressing positively
It’s official! The renovated administration building is fully occupied. It is wonderful to have this historic building preserved in such a beautiful manner. With an alumni welcome center that is both pleasing to view and comfortable to use, the Wilfred Uytengsu, Sr. Center is sure to become a favorite place to visit.
The newly restored 1857 building now houses human resources, institutional advancement, creative services, finance and accounting, and the president’s office. Plan to attend the dedication of this historic building and a special presentation on the history of it and the Indiana Tech campus given by Professor Steve Malloris during Homecoming in September.
The newest student housing facility is in its final stages of construction as crews work feverishly to prepare for the arrival of students around August 22. This fantastic building will provide a unique row house-style layout, and it will be filled to capacity with returning Warrior students. Warrior Row is a wonderful addition to the expanding campus of Indiana Tech.
Indiana Tech’s athletic department and student life will be provided with much-needed additional space as the new Warrior Athletic Center nears completion. With a new gymnasium for team practices and intramural competition, the whole campus will end up winners! Also, the building will house six coaches’ offices that will alleviate some of the cramped quarters that the coaching staff has had to endure with the ever-increasing list of sports teams at Tech.
Both the Warrior Athletic Center and Warrior Row are scheduled to be dedicated in late-August.
