Potential Parkview job opportunity
Parkview is in the process of ramping-up its EPIC implementation. The focus to this point has been on key ambulatory sites, but Parkview will accelerate the implementation to include in-patient and additional ambulatory sites during the next 18 months. They have 31 Certified EPIC Trainers who have lead the implementation training to this point. Parkview has a need for an additional 50 EPIC Credentialed Trainers to support the accelerated implementation.
- A Certified Trainer attends and tests out an EPIC Program in Verona, Wisconsin.
- A Credentialed Trainer attends a six week course at the customer’s premise and is trained by Certified Trainers. EPIC-employed trainers are present for the final week of the course, and a Credentialed Trainer must pass an examination at the end of the 6 week training period.
Parkview has asked Indiana Tech for assistance in identifying and recruiting potential candidates for the Credentialed Trainer Positions. These are contracted positions with an employment term for 9 to 12 months at a compensation level of $20-$22 per hour. There is a forty-hour work week with work week consisting of training sessions scheduled between 7 AM and 11 PM Monday-Saturday. This is not online training. Physical presence is required. The target date for the start of training is September 17th.
Parkview indicated that the targeted candidates would have teaching/instruction experience, and that a healthcare background is not necessary. Typical backgrounds could include high school/grade teaching, corporate training and higher education teaching.
The timeframe and position requirements are challenging, but a best-faith effort can be undertaken.
