Step inside another world of warmth and beauty in the middle of the cold, harsh, Indiana winter. Enjoy the serene surroundings of the seasonal Showcase Garden filled with an array of colorful flowers, listen to the sounds of water dancing down over the rocks of a waterfall in the Tropical Garden, feel the warmth and experience the allure of the dry but colorful landscape of the Desert Garden. Each room will draw you deeper into a new world of wonder, including the fantastical world of Neverland as the Botanical Conservatory pays homage to Peter Pan.

This family-friendly alumni event will last from 5:30–7:30 p.m. and is absolutely free. Kids and adults alike will find much in which to delight: from the plants robed in splendor to creative crafts and special activities to complimentary hot cocoa and fresh cookies. Make a whole night of it by visiting one of the fine, local dining establishments in downtown Fort Wayne after your wonder-filled walk through the Botanical Conservatory. Several restaurants, including Don Hall’s Gas House, Mad Anthony Brewing Company, and Toscani Pizzeria will be offering our alumni a special discount for this one-night-only event. And, if you’re planning to drive in from out of town, why not turn this evening into a weekend getaway by staying at the new Courtyard by Marriott Downtown using our special Indiana Tech discounted rate? And be sure to plan some time to visit the campus of your alma mater, too.

Be sure to get this event on your calendar now. What better way could there be to spend a chilly January 22 Saturday evening than to enjoy time together with your family or share a romantic date night with your significant other while taking advantage of free access to one of Fort Wayne’s finest hot spots? Guys, you might even be able to pass this off as an early Valentine’s gift. On second thought, maybe not. Hope to see you there.

To help us with our count, please share the number of people who will be attending with Mike Peterson, director of alumni relations, at or by phone at 260.399.2847.

The after-hours, alumni event at the Botanical Conservatory is proudly brought to you by the Indiana Tech Alumni Association and the Northeast Indiana Alumni Directors Consortium.
