Get to know Coach Bokhart
In July of 2011, Indiana Tech named David Bokhart as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach.
Prior to coming to Tech, Bokhart was the head coach at Saint Joseph’s College since 2006. At Saint Joseph’s, he guided the Pumas to a 17-15-3 record over the past two years. Bokhart also helped lead a successful team in the classroom, having 43 players earn Academic All-Conference recognition during his time with Saint Joseph’s.
Before his tenure at Saint Joseph’s, Bokhart was an assistant men’s soccer coach at the University of Saint Francis. During that time, he also coached with Fort Wayne Citadel FC and served as Director of Camps and Coaches for Inner City Soccer, Inc.
Bokhart has also served as Communication Manager for the National Soccer Coaches Association of America in Mission, Kansas, which followed a year as a media relations assistant with the University of Kansas athletic department. He also has experience working on the game-day staff of Major League Soccer’s Kansas City Wizards, Sporting Kansas City, for two years.
Bokhart, a Fort Wayne native, earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Purdue University in 2000, and received his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Saint Francis in December 2006.
Bokhart was a four-year member and two-year captain of the men’s soccer club team at Purdue and qualified for three NIRSA National Championships. He was also a four-year varsity letter winner at Bishop Luers High School from 1992-95.
He currently serves as the National Chair of the NSCAA/adidas Youth Boys All-America program, and holds an NSCAA Premier Coaching Diploma. Bokhart is the State Technical Director for the NSCAA’s Coaching Education program and assists several local clubs as a trainer throughout the year. His summer college camp experience includes Eastern Illinois University, University of Evansville, University of Notre Dame, and Valparaiso University.
Bokhart and his wife, Heather, have three children: Alex (17), Paxton (12), and Jaxon (10).

Jon is entering his second season as an assistant coach. His playing ability along with his coaching experience will be an asset to the reserve program.

Josh is in his second season as a graduate assistant. Josh brings a wealth of experience to the program. A captain and leader of the 2009 side that went to Nationals. Josh made the Conference First Team and leading goalkeeper in the conference. His knowledge of goalkeeping will be an asset to the program.

Stu is in his second season as an assistant coach. He was a 4 year member and starter and captain of the varsity team. He made the All Conference First Team and went on to making the All-Regional Team. Stu helped provide the positive leadership that got Tech to Nationals and the Final 16 in Fresno, California in 2009.
