Engineering Sales: The Role of Sales in Engineering
This event is part of the College of Engineering’s Engineers at Work Series.
The purpose of a manufacturers’ representative firm in the HVAC/R community is to expand the influence of products and solutions to engineers, architects, contractors and building owners. Sales engineers provide engineering support in the design phase of projects and actively participate throughout the implementation of equipment in new and retrofit applications. As equipment and building management controls advance in technology, sales engineers are also tasked with educating building owners on how to operate equipment to maximize efficiency and life of the product.
