Virtual Learning Resources

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has many throughout the world in uncharted waters, thrusting into our everyday lives important preventive measures like “social distancing” and “sheltering in place.” As we all do our part to “flatten the curve” to minimize the impact of COVID-19, here are some online resources to help our students continue learning, stay entertained and remained engaged socially during this time.

Indiana Tech Writing Center

The Writing Center is still available to help you with your writing and presentation assignments.

  • Contact the Writing Center for asynchronous and synchronous visits through WConline. Book a “slot,” upload your paper and get a response within 24-hours.
  • Contact a tutor directly through their email address on our webpage.
  • Practice your presentation through a Blackboard Collaborate session by booking a slot or emailing a tutor.
Indiana Tech's McMillen Library

McMillen Library services and resources will be virtual through May 2020:

Hours

  • Monday and Wednesday: 6:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday and Thursday: 6:30 a.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Friday: 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • Sunday: 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Virtual Office of Student Success

The Office of Student Success has complied resources that are frequently used to help students and created the Virtual OSS.

Students will find helpful tips and techniques for time management, how to prioritize tasks and assignments, study skills, finding life balance, wellness and stress management and community resources.

To enroll in the Virtual OSS, follow the link blow, sign into Blackboard and “Enroll”. The Virtual OSS will now show under your Blackboard courses.

Meet with your Student Success Adviser in an online meeting.  To schedule, log into Starfish and schedule a meeting with your adviser.
