This module introduces the skills needed to edit documents online, connect with friends over video call, and navigate social media.

Lesson Content

Navigating Google Docs

You can start on either the docs website (docs.google.com) or the google drive website (drive.google.com)

  • Log-in with your google account
  • You can then create a blank document or use a template and edit the content
  • Click the title to rename
  • File tab – downloading, copying document, deleting
  • Edit tab – copy and paste, undo/redo
  • Insert tab – to add images, tables, links, and more
  • Format tab – to change how the text looks
    • Size, spacing, lists, page numbers, headers/footers
  • Tools tab – grammar, word count, voice to text feature

Video Calling

Facetime

  • At the bottom of the app screen, there is a “New Call” button
  • After clicking this, choose the contact you would like to start a facetime with
  • Click the “Facetime” button at the bottom of the screen, and it will begin the call

WhatsApp

  • At the bottom of the app screen, tab the “Calls” tab
  • Then tap the “New Call” button
  • Choose the contact you would like to call
  • You can choose a voice call or a video call
