February 10, 2020

The Cyber Warriors, Indiana Tech’s cybersecurity team, won its sixth straight and 13th overall Indiana Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition title on Saturday at Indiana Tech.

The university’s Zollner Engineering Center hosted the competition for the first time ever and welcomed to the cyber fray teams from Purdue West Lafayette, Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, Purdue Northwest, Purdue Global, Indiana University, Ivy Tech Valparaiso and Vincennes. For the fourth year in a row, Purdue West Lafayette finished runner-up to the Cyber Warriors—this year by the closest margin ever.

Indiana Tech’s Cyber Warriors move on to the Erich J. Spengler Midwest Regional CCDC on March 13 and 14, at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, Illinois. They will face state champions from Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Minnesota, Missouri, Wisconsin and the winner of the wildcard round in an attempt to qualify for the national competition.
