Indiana Tech’s Early Start program offers high school students an opportunity to earn a certificate
January 20, 2026For nearly two decades, Indiana Tech’s Early Start program has helped thousands of high school students jump-start their college careers by earning real college credits early at a dramatically reduced cost.
Now, Indiana Tech is offering students the opportunity to earn a certificate in four high-demand career fields—cybersecurity, marketing, sport management or graphic design. Students are now able to earn a credential while saving time and money in the completion of their degree.
“When choosing colleges, today’s high school students are making thoughtful, outcomes-driven decisions based on meaningful careers, competitive salaries and a clearer pathway to the workforce,” said Dr. Steve Herendeen, Indiana Tech senior vice president for strategic enrollment management. “These new opportunities directly respond to those priorities by giving prospective students an outstanding chance to get a head start toward their careers.”
Each certificate is comprised of six courses. Courses are taught online and last six weeks. Tuition for each course is $225, and textbooks are included. Lastly, students who choose to continue onto Indiana Tech to pursue their degree will receive a $1,000 renewable scholarship.
