Indiana Tech’s home, Fort Wayne, receives accolades for new waterfront park

September 6, 2019 Promenade Park in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Fort Wayne, Indiana, the great city Indiana Tech has called home since 1930, has gotten even better over the past 15 years thanks to dynamic downtown growth that has benefited citizens and visitors of all ages.

In fact, a USA TODAY story recently recognized Fort Wayne for the August opening of Promenade Park, a beautiful community gathering space created on the St. Marys River waterfront. It’s the first phase of a riverfront development plan that will impact Fort Wayne’s three rivers—the St. Marys, the St. Joseph and the Maumee.
