Springer, Broaden and Woods add more titles

Gairy Springer, John Broaden and Brianna Woods collected three more national championship as the Indiana Tech men’s and women’s track and field teams continue to impress at the NAIA Outdoor National Track and Field Championships in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Springer won the 400 meters, Broaden won the 200 meters and Woods won the 200 meters. For Woods, it was her third title of Saturday; for Broaden, his second.

Earlier Saturday: Things are heating up on the Gulf shore as more Warrior athletes have earned national titles at the NAIA Outdoor National Track and Field Championships. Congrats to the championship 4×100 relay team of John Broaden, Harris Edwards III, Wayne Sherbahn and Trevor Stanley Kudos also to the ladies’ 4×100 title team of Sarah Dunmore, Tia Holmes, Patricia Thompson and Brianna Woods. Brianna also won the women’s 100-meter national title, edging out the second-place finisher by .001 second.

From Friday: Senior high jumper, Herb Gary of Indianapolis, is the first Warrior to win a national championship at this weekend’s NAIA Outdoor National Track and Field Championships in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
