Returning Student FAQs

Can I resume my traditional studies as an online student?

In most cases, you will be able to resume your traditional studies as an online student. However, some programs that require specialized equipment are only available to traditional students. You can check if your program is offered online on the Academic Programs page.

Will I keep all my credits if I resume the same program?

If you have taken a class at Indiana Tech within the last three years, you will be able to resume your studies within the same curriculum you were pursuing when you exited. This means you will not lose any credit. If it has been more than three years, your transcript will be re-evaluated as transfer credit.

Can I transfer college credit I have earned since attending Indiana Tech?

Any credit you have earned since your previous studies at Indiana Tech can be evaluated for transfer credit. Please refer to the Transfer Students page for information about transferring credit to Indiana Tech.

Can I resume my studies if I have a financial balance?

You will need to clear your balance before you can resume your studies at Indiana Tech. Our Student Financial Services advisors can help you explore all options available to you.
