Highlights from Virtual Homecoming ’20
Stretch those legs and lace up those running shoes for our virtual 5k from your home, your favorite park, city streets or country roads, wherever you like! Post a selfie with your time and the Indiana Tech 1930 racing bib to our alumni Facebook page! This event is available all weekend long.
Tune in as Dr. Einolf welcomes you to our Virtual Homecoming 2020. In this video, he will also:
- Update you on the state of our university
- Give you projections about the future of the university
- Talk about the adjustments we’ve made to create a safe and effective learning environment
- Recognize those alumni who have shown, and continue to show, support for the mission of the university
The video will also include a student speaker who will share insight into the life of today’s Indiana Tech student.
Take a look at the journey of 90 years of Indiana Tech and the historic milestones we have achieved in that time. Indiana Tech photo and video producer Randy Smith, along with the rest of Indiana Tech’s marketing department, has produced this moving and visually stunning historical look at how far we’ve come over the years. We guarantee you’ll be inspired!
Get an inside look at Pierson Hall and the newly constructed Summit Hall from the eyes of an incoming freshman. “Stop by” Max’s Bistro, Central Grounds, Warrior Park and the newly resurfaced Kline Court, which is just waiting for action inside the Schaefer Center. See the campus as it is today with its state-of-the-art facilities and marvel at just how much we’ve grown since your time here.
While we traditionally invite alumni to campus for a celebratory banquet, complete with recognition of lifetime achievement and a medal presentation, this year we are doing something unique in hopes to engage more alumni who would not normally be able to attend. We will be reaching out to alumni who have met that 50- and 60-year mark to invite them to share their biography to be posted to our alumni recognition page. In addition, we will send them them a personally-engraved medal to mark the occasion. Those alumni will also be invited back for the 2021 Homecoming Alumni Awards Banquet for a chance to mingle with their warrior family in person.
In similar fashion to the 50 and 60 Year Graduate Recognition, our Annual Alumni Association Awards portion of the weekend will be featured as a post to our homecoming website. These recipients of the Graduate of the Last Decade (G.O.L.D.), CPS Alumni of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and Alumni Hall of Fame awards will be recognized in a biography exploring the multitudes of reasons they deserve such prestigious awards. Recipients will be invited back for the 2021 Homecoming Celebration to be recognized in person.
Join Dave Aschliman, dean of Indiana Tech’s College of Engineering and School of Computer Sciences, and members of his engineering and computer science faculty as they share their innovative projects, program highlights and exciting visions for the future of Indiana Tech Engineering and Computer Sciences. This will be a live, internet-streamed event that will provide an opportunity for interested alumni to ask questions about the engineering and computer science programs here at Indiana Tech.
