Middle School STEAM Club
Middle School S.T.E.A.M. Club is an 8-week after-school program where students will explore topics and career options in the areas of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. Middle-school students will participate in hands-on activities and receive instruction from highly qualified staff. This club is meant for exploration and reinforces the standards being taught in school through lab experimentation and real world applications.
Two sessions are available this school year, in the fall and spring. Different faculty teams will lead each session and have a main STEAM focus.
- The Spring Session will run from March 3 – April 28.
- Theme: Discoveries that shaped science!
Programming Includes lessons in:
- Chemistry
- Environmental science
- Microbiology
- Exercise science
- Biomedical Engineering
Dates
Spring Session meets Tuesdays 5:00-7:00 p.m., beginning March 3 through April 28 with a break on March 31 for Spring Break.
This program is held in the Zollner Engineering Center on the Indiana Tech campus.
Costs
The cost is $200 per student per session. Costs cover a t-shirt, materials and snacks during meetings. Need-based scholarships and discounts are available upon request.
