High School Engineering Camp

Launch + Lead Camp

At this intensive, week-long day camp, high school and middle school student will learn about launching a career in sports business through engaging in dynamic activities designed to help them identify their individual leadership strengths and apply them in various team and individual settings.
Camp programming will instill essential skills for success on and off the field in areas such as leadership and collaboration, sportsmanship, positive character, and personal development. Camp will also include specialized workshops focusing on branding and sport marketing fundamentals, sport management, and team building. By the end of the camp, attendees will have a firm understanding of their leadership capabilities and gain an appreciation for an exciting career available within the competitive world of sports.

Disclaimer: This is not a traditional sports or athletic development camp. This camp is about lunching potential and learning to lead on and off the field!

Dates

Camp begins on Monday, July 13, and end on Friday July 17. It runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3 pm Drop-off time is 8:15 am and pickup time is 3 pm, from the Cunningham Business Center. Use Entrance 7 from the Maumee Ave. side of campus.

Costs

New Lower Camp Fee

The cost is $200, which includes all project materials, breakfast, snacks, lunch and a t-shirt.

Registration

Registration will remain open until all spots are filled or 1 week before start of camp.

Faculty Director Craig Dyer

Associate Professor of Sport Management

Professor Dyer is the program lead for Indiana Tech’s successful sport management degree program. Over the past five years, graduates from Dyer’s program have earned impressive positions with big-league teams, including the Tennessee Titans (NFL), the Atlanta Hawks (NBA), the Calgary Flames (NHL) and FC Cincinnati (MLS).
